This time I visited a restaurant called Pondok Pengkang located in Pontianak, precisely in Peniti area, this restaurant has been running for approximately 82 years, this restaurant provides Pengkang as its flagship menu, Pengkang is one of the many typical foods of West Borneo made of sticky rice.

Pengkang in Pondok Pengkang uses ebi shrimps as stuffing and banana leaves as wrappers, so the taste of Pengkang is very tasty, pengkang itself in the process by burning on charcoal made from dry coconut shell. Pengkang in Pondok Pengkang is served with a sauce made from a kind of shell that is a lot of shellfish sold in the area of Peniti. Sambal made from Shellfish is a compulsory cocolan while enjoying Pengkang, because the combination of pengkang and sambal kepah taste is very fitting on the tongue. The reason I choose the food here is because pengkang pengkang here so very good. For one portion of pengkang is charged Rp. 9000 / pcs. Very cheap is not it. As for the sambal kepah cost 30,000 that can be enjoyed together.
