B.     My favorite character and why I choose Her.

  In the movie Akeelah and The Bee, the character I love who is Akeelah Anderson,  she is 11-year-old. I love her because she is a smart kid. Seeing Akeelah's cleverness, a teacher asks Akeelah to follow the spelling contest. Initially Akeelah had refused the request of her teacher, because  she thought she was not able to follow the contest. Although told that no one cares about Akeelah's life, Akeelah's father has died. The inspiration of Akeelah is his father, every time she have problems she always looks at his father's picture so she becomes spirit and calm. Finally Akeelah is willing to join the race and representher school in the regional level. With her hard work and keep practicing with her coach Dr.Larabee. At the time of participating in the regional contest, Akeelah's mother had not allowed for some reason and it made Akeelah desperate. But because Akeelah has a strong determination, so she goes without her mother's permission. And at that moment her mother was angry, but in the end she allowed Akeelah to follow the contest.

  After winning the regional contest, Akeelah wants to follow the national contest, with hard training she learn 5000 words. At the time of the contest Akeelah managed to set aside other participants, and competed with Dylan. The conflict began to peak when Akeelah know that Dyland was often pressured by his father to become a champion in the spelling contest. The atmosphere is getting tense. Akeelah had to give in, as did Dylan. But after that they encouraged each other. In the end, Akeelah and Dylan became the champion of one national spelling contest.

  The reason I like Akeelah because she is smart and she is a hard worker, not arrogant, has a strong determination, always spirit, cares about each other. Although sometimes she looks cool.

C.    My favorite Scene

The scene I like is at the national contest. The scene makes everyone tense. Because of the character of Dylan's father who always insisted that Dylan become champion. And after Akeelah know, Akeelah spelling wrong for Dylan. But it seems that Dylan knows what Akeelah's intentions are, and he also spelling wrong. They looked at each other, then give spirit each other. And finally they both became champion one by holding the same trophy. It made me shed a tear, because touched to see this scene. There are words that really inspire me in this movie. These words are pronounced Akeelah at the end of the story. "Do you know the feeling that everything is going well? Where you do not have to worry about tomorrow, or yesterday. But you feel safe and know. Are you doing the best you can? There is a word for that feeling. The word is called L-O-V-E.

  

D.    My reason, if I had a father like Dylan's dad

     If I have a father like Dylan's father, then I will try to follow what my father said. But, I will also try to explain to my father that not everything I can to be followed. Depending on what is the situation, and as long as it does not harm others. Every child must obey they parents.
